Know the Signs of a Heart Attack
Signs of a heart attack in men include:
- Chest discomfort in the center of the chest
- Pain in one or both arms, back, neck, jaw or stomach
- Shortness of breath
- Breaking out in a cold sweat, nausea or lightheadedness.
Signs of a heart attack in women include:
- Unexplained or unusual fatigue and sleep disturbance
- Shortness of breath
- Indigestion
- Aching, tightness and pressure in the back or chest
Signs of stroke for both men and women include:
- Sudden numbness or weakness of the face, arm or leg, especially on one side
- Sudden confusion, trouble speaking or understanding
- Sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes
- Sudden trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance or coordination
- Sudden, severe headache with no known cause.
