    For the third consecutive year, RMC Jacksonville has been named among Modern Healthcare’s Best Places to Work in Healthcare.     It is estimated that as many as 40% of adults suffer from problems associated with dizziness or imbalances that are serious enough to report to a physician. Falls are the number one causes of injury in Americans aged 55 and over, and many of the falls are associated with dizziness or a balance disorder. Regional Medical Center has combined their clinical staff and state-of-the-art equipment to offer advanced diagnostic and treatment services to patients who suffer from symptoms like dizziness, vertigo, unsteadiness, or loss of balance.

    The UAB Cancer Center announced Tuesday that RMC will be one of the first affiliate hospitals in the new UAB Cancer Care Network program. As a network affiliate, RMC will be able to collaborate with UAB physicians on diagnosis and treatment, cancer patients will have access to more clinical trials and RMC staff will receive education and training on breaking medical innovations.

Patients are served breakfast starting at 7 a.m., lunch starting at 11 a.m. and dinner starting at 4:30 p.m. Occasionally, your meal may be delayed if you are scheduled for a test or treatment. Whenever possible, you will be served after your examination or test. RMC hospitality assistants will inform you of your nutrition prescription and verbally offer your meal choices for lunch and supper that day and breakfast for the next day. This personalized service provides you with a direct line to the Food and Nutritional Services to discuss menu choices or make special requests.

If a family member or friend wishes to eat in your room with you, the person may go to the cafeteria, buy a meal there and take it back to your room. Guest trays can be sent with your tray at a cost of $3. Guest trays are offered at no charge to family members of pediatric patients.

RMC Cafeteria Hours
Located on the first floor of the hospital, RMC offers a large cafeteria with fresh, well-prepared foods, including daily specials, sandwiches, salads and to-go items. Cafeteria hours are:

Breakfast 6 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
Lunch 11 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.
Dinner 4:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.

Breakfast 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
Lunch 11 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.
Dinner 4:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.
