       RMC Summer 2014 VolunTEEN Program
       
        Thanks for a GREAT summer!!


       This summer's Volunteen Program hosted 107 students and represented over 20 area schools.

      It is back to school time, the program closed on August 1st with an Ice Cream Social and t-shirt for all.

      Teens 14 - 18 years of age are invited to check back 
    during March and April for an application for the summer of 2015.

       
  • RMC Jacksonville - Best Place To Work

    For the third consecutive year, RMC Jacksonville has been named among Modern Healthcare’s Best Places to Work in Healthcare. The healthcare publication recognizes 100 outstanding healthcare employers across the nation, including hospitals, physician practices, insurers, suppliers, and consulting groups. This year RMC Jacksonville placed 11th among the 100 hospitals recognized at a recent awards celebration in Atlanta.

    It is estimated that as many as 40% of adults suffer from problems associated with dizziness or imbalances that are serious enough to report to a physician. Falls are the number one causes of injury in Americans aged 55 and over, and many of the falls are associated with dizziness or a balance disorder. Regional Medical Center has combined their clinical staff and state-of-the-art equipment to offer advanced diagnostic and treatment services to patients who suffer from symptoms like dizziness, vertigo, unsteadiness, or loss of balance.

    The UAB Cancer Center announced Tuesday that RMC will be one of the first affiliate hospitals in the new UAB Cancer Care Network program. As a network affiliate, RMC will be able to collaborate with UAB physicians on diagnosis and treatment, cancer patients will have access to more clinical trials and RMC staff will receive education and training on breaking medical innovations.
