Heart & Vascular Care at RMC

At RMC, the mission of our Heart & Vascular Team is to provide comprehensive care, including prevention and treatment, to heart patients to continue in the fight against the country’s number one killer.

Our team of cardiothoracic surgeons and cardiologists perform the least invasive procedures to highly complex surgeries to diagnose and treat the many ways in which heart and vascular disease affects an individual. For example, cardiac doctors perform coronary and peripheral vascular interventions, including angioplasty and/or stents, to treat a variety of illnesses such as coronary artery disease and peripheral vascular disease. Surgical procedures include coronary bypass surgery, valve surgery and thoracic aortic surgery. As part of the recovery process, all heart care patients receive a customized and comprehensive cardiac rehabilitative program administered on an outpatient basis from RMC’s Tyler Center. Specially certified nurses provide cardiac patients with an educational exercise program to help in their recovery.

RMC’s Heart & Vascular team has the experience that patients want and expect. Cardiothoracic surgeons are Masumi Yamamuro and Ayman Abdul-Ghani.
