Home Health Care
A hospital-based home health care program in Calhoun County, RMC Home Health Care provides 24-hour-a-day, seven-days-a-week professional medical services in the patient’s home. Last year, RMC provided nearly 12,000 home health care visits.
RMC’s Home Health Care works with patients’ health care providers to administer patients’ personalized plan of treatment and to make sure that patients receive a coordinated approach to treatment. Each patient has a treatment team consisting of the patient’s physician and a medical social worker to match community social services for the patient.
RMC Home Health Care’s professional services include:
- Skilled Nursing, such as IV therapy, wound care and chemotherapy certification
- Physical Therapy
- Occupational Therapy
- Speech Therapy
- Home Health Aide
To receive RMC Home Health Care services, a patient must be homebound, require skilled care, have physician orders for home health care and live within a 40-mile radius of the hospital. Payer sources include Medicare, which pays 100 percent of home health care for eligible patients, Medicaid, Veteran’s Administration, private insurance and private pay.
RMC’s Home Health Care is accredited by Medicare and the Joint Commission on Accredited Health Care Facilities.
