Alzheimer’s –For families dealing with Alzheimer’s disease. Meets every Tuesday at 5:00 PM on the 3rd floor of the Physician Center, Suite 301. Facilitator is Kathleen Miller, a certified Dementia Trainer. You may reach her at 256-235-5578.
Touch – (Today Our Understanding of Cancer is Hope) – A support group for cancer patients and their families. Meets the 2nd Tuesday each month at 12:00 noon in the Board Room, Suite 403, Physician Center 4th floor. Lunch is provided. Grief – For anyone who has experienced a loss through the death of a loved one. Meets the 1st Tuesday of each month at 1:00 PM in the Cancer Resource Center. Suite 406, Physician Center. Chaplain Wilson – 256-235-5146.
Bariatric Support Group meets in the office of R. Bryan Freeman, M.D. (suite 102 of the Physicians Building) every third Tuesday of the month from 6pm to 8pm. 901 Leighton Avenue, Suite 102, Anniston. Louise Aldridge – 256-237-3947.
Man to Man– American Cancer Society’s support group for men. Meets the 2rd Tuesday each month at 12:00 noon in the Board Room, Suite 403, Physician Center 4th floor. Lunch is provided. For more information, contact Chaplain Wilson at 256-235-5146 or Alison Enochs at 205-930-8884.
Mental Illness– For patients with bi-polar, depression, and other disorders, and those interested in providing support. Meets every Tuesday at 1:30 PM in the Galley, 1st Floor, Tyler Center.

Stroke –For stroke patients in treatment or recovery and their caregivers. Meets the 4th Tuesday of each month at 1:00 PM in the Chaplain Office, Suite 406, Physician Center, 4th Floor.
Steel Magnolias – Supporting Individuals Undergoing Cancer Treatment
A package of: Steel Magnolias' inspirational and educational material, a Tuesday Bear Hugger comfort package, and a gift from the Quintard Mall Avon Beauty Center is given to breast cancer patients, the day of surgery at Regional Medical Center. Some care packages are mailed to newly diagnosed patients.
Steel Magnolias Are Praying For You
The Steel Magnolias Chaplain is then called. She immediately mails a prayer card, and places your name on the Steel Magnolias' prayer list that will be shared with members at Steel Magnolias Group meetings. Steel Magnolias pray for everyone on the prayer list.
Snacks and Water Coolers
Snacks and water coolers are maintained in the Cancer Resource Center, suite 406, in Anniston Oncology, Suite 602 of the Physicians Center, and in 4th floor Regional Medical Center Chemo Treatment Room.

Steel Magnolias Dining Vouchers
Dining Vouchers are provided for two family members of any patient, in surgery for cancer, in North East Alabama Regional Medical Center, hospital cafeteria
Steel Magnolias Pinks Boutique The Steel Magnolias' Pinks Closet. Is located in the Physician's Center, 4th Floor nest to the Cancer Resource Center. It is stocked with Mastectomy Bras, Breast Prosthesis Wigs caps and scarves. These items are free. Please call Marti Warren @ (256) 239 – 0655.

The Steel Magnolias Office is located in suite 407 of the Physicians Center. Men of Steel
Support Group for husbands and boyfriends of breast cancer survivors and for men who themselves are breast cancer survivors. Meeting each 4th Tuesday, 5:00 p.m., in the Boardroom, Suite 403 of the Physicians Center, 901 Leighton Avenue, Anniston. Call Jimmy Taylor @ (256) 463-7620
Breast Cancer Awareness Program Girls, grades 7-12 awareness program, taught by volunteer Registered Nurses. Please contact Margaret Taylor at 256-231-8827.
Designated contributions can be made for any of these services. All contributions are used to provide services for local cancer patients, to encourage survivors or to teach early detection.
